Larifan 2.5 mg / 2 ml solution for injection is an antiviral medicine of natural origin with immunostimulatory properties.
It is used in cases of recurrent herpes virus infection. It is also recommended for immunosuppression caused by viral infections, the use of various medicines, and specific anti-cancer therapies.

Posology and method of administration
Larifan is administered subcutaneously after thawing and warming to room temperature. The thawed product may be stored at room temperature for up to 1 day, protected from direct sunlight. Re-freezing does not change the activity of the preparation.
In case of recurrent herpes virus infection, 2.5 mg is given once a day, four times with an interval of 3 days between injections. If necessary, the course can be repeated after 6 months.

For the treatment of immunodeficiency: the course dose is 2.5 mg once a day, four times at weekly intervals, course can be repeated after a break of 1 or 2 months.
There are limited data in children and therefore the use in children is not recommended.
Clinical experience indicates that no dose adjustment is required in the elderly.
Do not use Larifans 2.5 mg / 2 ml solution for injection during pregnancy and breast-feeding.
If the use of Larifans is considered essential by your doctor, breast-feeding should be stopped for the duration of treatment.
Like all medicines, Larifan 2.5 mg / 2 ml solution for injection can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.

Transient increases in temperature are sometimes observed. If the temperature is high and difficult to tolerate, lowering remedies may be used. Rarely, fever and headache have been reported, with very rare cases of hypotension and pruritus. In case of fever, it is recommended to use plenty of hot drinks and a heater on the feet.
